Helping protect the homes of indigenous tribes in the Amazon helps prevents displacement and hunger.
How are we making this possible?
Claro has partnered with One Tribe who are working with the Rainforest Trust on various projects, with a current focus on Rainforest protection in the Amazon.
If you’re interested in finding out more check out our interview with the CEO of One Tribe for more information on this cause and why it’s so important to us.
Why Rainforest protection has other benefits

Biodiversity
Tropical rainforests cover only 8% of the planet’s surface but support over 50% of the world’s species, many of which are critically endangered. Over the last 30 years, the Rainforest Trust has provided safe havens for 296 mammal species and 456 bird species that are endangered and vulnerable.

Rainforest
By helping obtain land titles for indigenous tribes it gives the rights for legal management of the territories and resources to communities, and also the responsibility for their care in accordance to the law.

Indigenous communities
The charity has also helped indigenous communities in Latin America obtain legal land titling rights to their ancestral lands, which allows the communities to manage their forest resources more sustainably.
